Managing Cyber Risk Right
Presented by: Barry Mathis, Senior Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer
Clearwater Compliance, LLC
August 1, 2018 | 1PM – 2PM EST
THIS 1-HOUR WEBINAR PRESENTATION WILL DISCUSS:
“It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you'll do things differently” Warren Buffet
The hard reality is that for anyone in the healthcare category it is becoming less a question of if, but when will you have breach. In the first quarter of 2018 alone, more than 1.3M records were exposed in 110 separate healthcare breaches. On one level, when you report your breach to the Office for Civil Rights, you know that you are going to have to get your General Counsel involved, the Board will be asking pointed questions and it will tie up a bunch of C-suite and IT time. You could ultimately pay a civil fine, and you might even end up on OCR’s Wall of Shame. If cyber risk management was not a C-Suite level priority, it will be now. Unfortunately, that which is most important to any business, its reputation—perhaps its most critical competitive differentiator-- may take a hit that will impact the business, not to mention its executives’ reputations, for years to come. This webinar is not a nuts and bolts discussion of malware, firewalls and black hat hackers, nor a lawyer’s paragraph by subparagraph deep dive, but rather a C-suite level presentation on what you should know about getting your organization on track to manage the ever-changing cyber risk landscape and ready if OCR knocks on the door.
