Chief Financial Officer
Eastern Niagara Hospital seeks experienced financial professional to serve as Chief Financial Officer. Position directs and oversees financial activities of hospital and nursing home including preparation of financial statements as well as future forecasts. Develops and monitor policies and procedures within generally accepted accounting principles and corporate guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow, reduced hospital operating costs and collection of revenues. CFO is responsible for the development, coordination and administration of policies on accounting, finance, patient accounting and registration. Oversees activities involving payroll, payables, reimbursement, capital and operational budgeting, bank relations, pension, insurance programs and financial reporting.
Position reports directly to CEO. As a member of the Hospital's executive management team, CFO participates in overall strategy and policies, operations and mission development. Provides financial expertise, advice and analysis to executive team. Identifies opportunities and communicates them to hospital and nursing home leadership. Identifies issues related to short and long term financial planning and provides data/analysis for decision making.
Hospital experience in NYS required with nursing home experience a plus. Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field required. Successful candidate should have minimum of 5 years of high level management experience in hospital setting. CFO experience preferred.
Successful candidate will be a seasoned health care manager with significant financial management experience. Individual will have excellent communication and leadership skills. Understanding of complex healthcare environment is critical. Understanding of computer applications is necessary. Ideal candidate will have a track record of success as a CFO in a similar setting or will have had a senior financial position within a larger organization.

Director of Revenue Cycle and Reimbursement
Candidate must possess technical knowledge of Medicaid reimbursement methodologies both inpatient and outpatient, including APGs. Experienced with direct and indirect medical education add on, Medicare cost reports, DSH calculations, Medicaid pool assessments, and reporting. Position reports to the CFO and has oversight of enterprise wide patient registration, billing and account receivable monitoring. Four year degree in Accounting required. CHFP/FHFMA designation and 4 years in hospital A/R, reimbursement and prior supervisory experience preferred.
Our operations include a 171-bed acute care and behavioral health teaching hospital, Emergency Department, and Heart Center of Niagara. EOE.
