Unpaid Claim Follow-Up:

How to Capitalize on Revenue Cycle's Biggest Savings Opportunity

Presented by Databound Healthcare Solutions

October 24th, 2019 | 2:00pm to 3:00pm EST

THIS 1-HOUR WEBINAR PRESENTATION WILL DISCUSS:

Following up on unpaid claims is one of the most time-consuming tasks in the revenue cycle. EDI 277 transactions lack information to determine the reason for a denied claim and some insurance companies do not provide them. That lack of information in addition to manual phone calls and long hold times result in a frustrating and costly process. Once the status is obtained, additional time is needed to determine why claims were denied and get them corrected. Even more frustrating is spending all the time to follow-up on a claim only to find that payment is pending, making all that time a waste.

The 2018 Council of Affordable Quality Healthcare Index reveals that claim status inquiries have the potential for the highest savings opportunity per transaction of any process in the revenue cycle.

Join Kelly Blackmon and Mike Burhans as they highlight the scope of the issues surrounding claim status inquiries and discuss techniques and tools that will help you make the process much more comprehensive and efficient. You will come away with ideas that will help you reduce A/R days, speed up cash-flow, and save significant time and money.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

Kelly Blackmon, Product Manager, has developed RPA tools for over 6 years. In 2018, his tools automated over 1,000,000 working hours. By automating this work, healthcare organizations could reallocate up to four times as many hours to higher level tasks. Kelly has devoted significant time to researching the claims follow up process and is excited to share his learnings with you.

Mike Burhans is an Account Executive helping people leverage technology to solve complex issues or meet new challenges in the healthcare revenue cycle.
